We are looking for male dancer-actors for the creation, premier and tour of our new production—a full-length crime drama titled Out Late.
About Out Late
Out Late follows fiercely-closeted Sebastian as he falls in love with ex-army chef Vinnie, a charming but violent ‘out-and-proud’ gay man. Sebastian tries to hide his new relationship whilst his controlling ex-wife Fifi secretly watches them fall in love, seething. When Vinnie is murdered, what unfolds is a twisted story of jealousy, shame and revenge.
Following the company’s tour of Vestige and Meeting (★★★★ The Guardian), Wayne has reassembled the creative team of writer Ankur Bahl and dramaturg Pooja Ghai to collaborate with him on the script for Out Late. Using Wayne’s unique approach to melding dance and theatre, Out Late promises to be a dark and compelling story told through movement and text.

What we’re looking for
We are casting for the characters of Sebastian and Vinnie.
The roles require performers who are skilled at finding character from a script. As the work includes a full script, we require performers who are able to deliver text in English on stage. Successful candidates will also be comfortable with partner and floor work.
These characters require a playing age of 27-40. Please do not apply if you are younger than 25 years old.
We encourage and welcome applications from dancers of all backgrounds. We particularly welcome applications from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic performers.

Successful applicants will be invited to an audition in London, which will take place on Sunday 29 September 2019.
The job
Rates of pay are set in line with equity standards, including holiday pay and per diems when not rehearsing or performing in London.
For the contract, you need to be available for the following dates in 2020 (these are subject to change, with additional dates to be added, when finalised):
- Creation & Rehearsals: 2 January -16 February
- Tech: 17-20 February
- Performances throughout the UK on:
21, 27, 28 February; 5, 6, 7, 13, 14, 26, 27, 28, 31 March; and 1 April
There is the possibility of additional dates (UK and international) in the spring and summer of 2020, to be confirmed at a later date.
